How much practice do you need to get good at drawing? Well, the people who are halfway-decent or better at drawing get asked this often. Usually they have some talent. But if you ask them, they'll tell you they've been drawing ever since their Mom let them play with crayons.
A lot of people give up on drawing in elementary school when they realize how bad their drawing skills really are. They get busy with other things and by Middle or High school just admire the drawings of others. However, the few who keep on Drawing and Doodling anyways are building up their skills. Practicing.

If you haven't been drawing since you were two, that's ok. Start now, right where you are. Get out (or just get) a sketchbook and draw some everyday. Copying is ok for practice, just don't claim it as your original artwork. Go ahead and copy your favorite Bugs Bunny or Manga character. Try styles you like.
Draw some every day, and after a year, compare a new drawing with one you did a year ago. You should see lots of improvement. Keep going & have fun!
