Save Often

Save often! It doesn't just apply to video games, creating artwork digitally requires saving often too. You never know what could happen with your computer.

You could lose your work to a system crash or power failure. Or the toddler in your house could dump their chocolate milk into your laptop while you got up to use the toilet. Either way, do what you can to not lose your work. Save often and watch out for the little ones.

Here in Iraq, we lose power often. Several times a day, in fact, with no warning. It is worse in the summer and winter and when the weather is bad. When I work on a piece on my computer here I try to save after each step. If I forget, I can lose everything I did up to my last save. Which can be everything I did if I didn't remember to save at all.
