Do you really need to go to an Art School to be an Artist? Is it necessary? Maybe, maybe not.

If your are already having success selling your creations, then probably not. Taking workshops or other courses can help you develop your techniques.

If not, or you are just getting started and need direction, Art School can help. Talking to the instructors can get you lots of tips. Instructors are usually established artists them selves with plenty of experience and tales from the field.

Classes can be fun, improve your skills, and give you lots of ideas. Also, Art Colleges provide classes on marketing your work and building a portfolio and resume. Those can be very helpful in presenting yourself professionally.
