Doodle every day

Everyone should doodle every day. Why?

Because it's fun. Because you can do it as much as you like and you don't need to be good at it. Because sometimes you can come up with new ideas if you are stuck in a rut.

Because you can.

You can doodle with any pen/ marker/crayon/ whatever on any surface, so no excuses about lack of supplies.

It's very portable. You can doodle on your newspaper, textbooks (cover them with paper first!), paper place mat at the restaurant, post-it notes. Keep a pen, pencil, crayons, or marker in your bag or pocket any you're set to go whenever you get bored or have a wait.
