Sketch in Pen

One way you can improve your drawing is by sketching and doodling in ink. Using a pen means you can't go back and undo your mistakes. You have to get creative to figure out what to do with them.

Some mistakes can be covered by making the line wider or coloring in the space. Other mistakes can be tweaked to become features. And all your mistakes can be learned from. You will definitely learn to make less mistakes while drawing in ink because you know you can't go back and erase.

I've drawn and doodled in pen enough that my pen drawings look pretty good. Lots of practice from doodling in class with pen. :-) But for other drawings, I still sketch out the form in pencil first, then ink it. Just need to remember to let the ink dry before trying to erase.
